Plugin Telemetry Disclosure

Exactly what the AthletiSync plugin sends to athletisync.com, how to turn it off, and how long we keep it.

DRAFT — review by counsel before publication. This text is a working draft prepared from the AthletiSync product specification and is not yet legal advice or a binding document.

What is sent

Events: install, activate, trial_start, license_activate, heartbeat, readiness, update_check, update_applied, deactivate, uninstall, error. Each carries a site hash (sha256 of your site URL plus a per-install salt), plugin, WordPress and PHP versions, and a small payload with no personal data. Readiness results (booleans and version strings) are allowed. Your plain site URL is only sent once a license or trial is claimed.

What is never sent

Emails, names, IP addresses beyond the request itself, and any content of your families, players, bookings, payments or waivers.

Opting out

Define the constant HC_TELEMETRY = false in wp-config.php. This disables every event except the license check and the update check, which a paid product requires.

Retention

13 months, partitioned by month, then deleted. Aggregates (install counts, version adoption) may be kept without the site hash.

Why

So we can see installs that need help, ship updates safely, and keep the app directory accurate. The full specification is in our hub documentation.
